Tethered

I created this project originally for JR Vase, like many of my other artworks, but I decided to scrap the entry in place of UFO Kitty-- it also got scrapped. I liked the artwork nontheless, and since it is digital, I can put it on here!

Meaning:

A fragile tether binds us to who we were, to the fears and memories we can never quite let go. “Tethered” is a portrait of holding on — even when it hurts.

How I made it:

I actually created this piece with a meaning in mind, which made it a lot harder to create for me. It is something I relate to a lot and wanted to create as a way to express myself, as other pieces I make just have cool colors or visuals. I created this digitally, actually with my finger. It took a total of five months, finished today, so the picture of me in the portrait is me 5 months younger than I am writing this page.
